Creel Pone 15th Anniversary.

There was to be a big celebration batch back in May commemorating the Crystal Anniversary of the inauguration of the Creel Pone series, but, of course, the world had other plans & instead I’ve been steadfastly working at keeping my family fed & housed while landlocked here in Brooklyn. This was always a venture that was fueled & funded primarily through my music/travel schedule, which has of course been waylaid completely since early March, but somehow I managed a few moments of not-total panic here & there over the past few months to wade through the mounting pile of “candidates” that the C.P. “Cabal” had been dutifully sending over, and I’m happy to report that the program will now renew as planned on New Years’ Day at a regular pace of monthly batches, at the very least through April.

The new titles outlined below all come as pro-printed full-color everything black-bottom CD-R’s with 6-panel booklets inside round-bottom sleeves housed in those vaguely milky resealables with a new Blue/Gold “Creel Pone 15th Anniversary Unheralded Classics of Electronic Music 2005-2020” seal affixed to the outside. The discs themselves were duplicated utilizing the same pro-grade Primera Robotic machinery (newly refurbished by the manufacturer’s Australian arm) at the slowest possible speed and printed one-at-a-time in-house on a custom 5-color “Ecotank” system; the booklets were all made to spec by a professional photo printer in Maryland and, frankly, there has never been a better-looking set of Creel Pones. Even the transcription and restoration processes have been significantly improved due to advancements in the technologies used; in many ways this continued investment of time & resources into the program has allowed this whole idea to mature & reach its full potential while maintaining the qualities that make it all so special.

Along with the 20-odd new titles that will launch early this year, the back-catalog has similarly been replenished to decent levels following the loss/destruction of so many thousands of meticulously hand-assembled editions during the disastrous remote-move back to the States in early 2019, and will continue in small numbers (batches of 25) until everything that has not been reissued elsewhere is available again; this is all essentially building back to square one/parity after this massive setback. In many cases, classic titles are being re-done to improve the spec & to include further relevant/archival materials; just a heads-up.

If the physical incarnations of all of this research/labor/etc. are at all interesting to you, I implore you to order a couple via the newly minted Alpha State NYC site; the physical edition sizes are far smaller than they had been in the past, so please don’t delay. It’s likely several of the shops that had stocked the line in the past will be getting copies in the near-future.
