Geoff Mullen & I met after he had taped one of his demos to the door of the co-op house I was living in in Somerville (aka “The Reckankomplex”) back in the early 2000s. We quickly became close friends & I formed a label, entschuldigen, to properly release said demo on CD. We began recording & playing as a duo shortly thereafter & due to a shared love of Minimal-Synth & “Anti-Music” it ws a great, safe space in which to try out ideas that wouldn’t have flown in either of our respective solo endeavours. I hired Geoff to help me helm Mimaroglu Music after its awkward out-growing of said co-op & its move into the spacious Porter Square loft it occupied for 7 years; those were the salad days.

We issued a 100-copy edition of a duo LP on Mimaroglu's in-house imprint no of a 2006 concert at Somerville's Portuguese-American Lounge where each & every copy had a different cover (there’s a grainy video to your right which flips through a tub of them). A year later, Dan "Oneohtrix Point Never" Lopatin issued a second album on his fledgeling Upstairs CD-R label (which we briefly P&D'ed at Mimaroglu). Jeff "Rene Hell" Witscher then readied a cassette release of further duo recordings (now working under the name Any Given Sunday) on his Agents of Chaos imprint later the same year, completing the format trifecta.

A planned fourth release (a Double-LP) was caught up in the great EKS Manufacturing breakdown of 2010 & was summarily shelved, only to be be resuscitated & issued for the first time in the great, terrible music-platform battle of late 2023; it can be heard in full to your right as well as in all of the apps; have at it!
