As an artifact of Creel Pone’s gradual dissemination into the world (in hushed tones) I began receiving requests to give Presentations & Lectures, as well as invitations to curate Playlists & Projects surrounding the idea of the so-called “Secret Histories” of Electronic & Experimental Music.
Several events around these ideas have transpired in the interim, including my two favorites: a rousing lecture/discussion, “The Secret History of Electronic Music” at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity during the Convergence residency and an installation, “An Alternate History of Canadian Electronic Music (1956–1981)” at Videpool in Winnipeg during the Send + Receive festival.
As the CP series is about to crest ino its third decade (2025) & the archive is absolutely buckling at the seams, there’s no better time to get in touch about staging a lecture or workshop, around which I’m (always) glad to lend a particular social or conceptual lens (for an example or what form these take; listen to the Soundcloud player to your right/below, or reference the half-dozen “Creel Pone Radio” programs assembled with Jacob Gorchov for Montez Press Radio as hosted on the Alpha State NYC site!)
