"Hands Off the Computer and Other Playthrough Lessons" @ Expo 74

  • Mass MOCA 1040 Mass MoCA Way North Adams, MA, 01247 United States (map)

Keith will perform a version of one of his "Playthrough" pieces on his Max 4.5 setup, and then talk about the approach to their creation, and ways he's been updating and rewriting it all in Max 8. The talk will investigate how these systems can be refined to allow for more hands-off, automatable, algorithmic control, which can allow for focus on the central real-time elements of performance.

Interested in Science Fair?

Science Fair is our favorite event from the two previous Expo events! You don’t need a perfectly polished project to participate in the Science Fair, just a desire to share your work with the community.

We will be provide you with a table, power, and a folding cardboard display for your printed material.

You will exhibit your Max project during a casual evening event after Expo has wrapped up for the day.

Watch videos from past Expos to get a sense of the event.

There is no extra cost for participation, but there is a basic submission process.

If you want to show your project at the Science Fair, start by submitting a description of your project.

If you have general questions about participating before you submit your project description, contact us.
